This is a day-long celebration of Sillitoe’s Life and Work, with sessions on his poetry, films and children’s writing as well as his fiction for adults. Amongst other things, DJ Taylor will talk about Sillitoe and the regional novel and John Lucas about other writers who took the Nottinghamshire working class as their subject matter.
